- Education and training that could lead to employment
- The required 32 or 35 hour week by combining classes and work-study
- Work-study programs that may be exempt from cash aid

- Financial assistance to qualified recipients
- Academic counseling to provide a supportive and informative environment that encourages student success
- Confidential liaison and advocacy between students, the college, the Department of Human Services and other community agencies.
