LISTO and SUMMER BRIDGE 2009
The focus of SUMMER BRIDGE is to prepare incoming college freshmen and concurrent high school students for the community college system. The program's goal is to prepare students for academic success via an intensive introduction to college curriculum with mini-courses that cover instruction in basic writing, reading, elementary algebra, career planning and study skills. The result will be a stronger incoming freshman who can more easily move through the English and math courses and transfer in a reasonable amount of time. The program meets for 4 ½ weeks. In order to be eligible, applicants must submit the items listed below:
- College admissions form, complete PC assessment and orientation, summer bridge application, letter or recommendation and unofficial transcripts. A Dual Enrollment Petition for concurrent high school students is required along with the most recent report card or transcripts.
- Please contact Michelle Hart, LISTO Coordinator at (559) 791-2219 or email her at mhart@portervillecollleg.edu
