| Prerequisite: Current first aid and CPR certification at the Public Safety First Aid level or above as defined by California Health and Safety Code. This meets or exceeds the minimum emergency medical training requirements mandated by the California Office of the State Fire Marshall for this course. Students (Academy Cadets) must provide proof of certification at first class session. Recommendation: Current affiliation with a fire service agency that will provide personal protective clothing and medical clearance and completion of a self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) "fit test," is desired. Approved for pass/no pass grading option. | |||||
